Professional practice of the Department of Biology

 

Practice bases, passing time, contracts

In the 2020-2021 academic year, 3.4-year full-time students of the specialty "5B011300-Biology" of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, 1.2-year students of the educational program "6B01505 - biology teacher training", 5th-year students studying at the evening department were sent to professional practice in accordance with the curriculum.

The installation conference on professional practice was held in an online format on the ZOOM platform. During the conference, the goals and objectives of the practice were announced, the filling in of the student-intern's diary and other necessary materials were discussed. A safety briefing was conducted. We reviewed and discussed the necessary textbooks, electronic textbooks.

1st year student of the educational program "6B01505-biology teacher training" 1505-10a (Educational practice), students of the 1505-10 study group are sent to a 2-week training practice from 25.01 to 05.02.2021.

According to the educational program "6B05101-Biology", students of the 1st year of the study group 5101-10 are sent to a 2-week training practice from 25.01 to 05.02.2021. 2nd year students of group 1505-19a (Pedagogical practice), 1505-29, 1505-39 studying under the educational program "6B01505-biology teacher training" are sent to a 2-week psychological and pedagogical practice from 25.01 to 05.02.2021.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, 2nd-year students of the 5101-19 group completed a 2-week production internship in the period from 25.01 to 6.02.21, in accordance with the curriculum of the specialty "6B05101-Biology" and the schedule of the educational process, as well as the order of the university on admission to practice. The total number of students who took part in the production practice for the 2nd year is 17;

On the basis of the order on the direction of professional practice in the SKSPU dated 19.12.2020, students of the 3rd year, 113-18a, 113-28a, 113-38a, 113-48A, 113-88a of the study groups of the specialty 5B011300-Biology from 25.01 to 19.02.2021 were sent to 4–week pedagogical practice.

Students of the 4th year, 113-17a (Professional training practice), 113-27, 113-37 study groups of specialty 5b011300-" Biology " are directed to an 8-week pedagogical practice from 25.01 to 19.03.2021.

Students of the 4th year, 113-17a (Professional training practice), 113-27, 113-37 study groups of specialty 5b011300-" Biology " are directed to a 12-week pedagogical practice from 25.01 to 16.04.2021.

Students of the 5th year k113-16 of the study group of the specialty 5b011300-" Biology" were sent to an 8-week pedagogical practice from 25.01 to 19.03.2021. A 3rd-year student of K607-18 of the study group of the specialty 5B060700-"Biology" was sent to a 3-week internship from 12.04 to 30.04.2021.

Students of the 4th year 607-17, 113-17a, 113-27, 113-37 study groups in the specialty 5B011300-Biology, B060700-Biology are sent to a 4-week pre-graduate practice from 23.03 to 16.04.2021.

On January 25, a pedagogical council with student trainees was held at the schools specified in the contract. The meeting was attended by the school's management, subject teachers and classroom teachers. School teams were presented to students, questions about the tasks of trainees were explained and allocated to special classes. In accordance with the rules of organization and conduct of professional practice of the educational institution, 7,8,9,10 classes are allocated for 3rd-year students, 8,9,10,11 classes for 4th-year students.

During the practice, students got acquainted with the methodological, educational, cognitive, organizational basics. The students got acquainted with the school complex, conducted classes with assigned supervisors, as well as students of grades 7 - 10. High school students studied online. Schoolchildren and students took part in conference classes through ZOOM, Cisco webex platforms, and passed educational hours. WhatsApp gave tasks via messengers. Google Form platform, Kahoot.it , solved the tests in the lesson with the help of programs. Bilim.video lessons via the land platform, Balapan.tv , Elarna.tv we listened to new lessons on TV. And the students, divided into grades 9.11, conducted classes offline in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. During the practice, students got acquainted with the methodological, educational, cognitive, organizational basics. The students got acquainted with the school complex, with the assigned leaders, as well as with the students of the 9th and 11th grades. Practical work programs, security of documents provided to students.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, high school students studied online, and therefore students learned to make lesson plans online. Training hours via ZOOM platforms, Cisco webex, tasks via WhatsApp messengers, Google Form platform, Kahoot.it, solve tests in the lesson using Bilim programs. I studied the land platform, working with electronic journals.

By Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2016 No. 107 " On approval of the Rules for organizing and conducting professional practice and the rules for determining organizations as practice bases ", a professional practice program was developed and approved in accordance with the educational program of specialties 5b011300-Biology, 6b01505 - biology teacher training, 6b05101 - biology of related sciences.

To conduct practice at the department, training programs of practice, a diary, and a work schedule have been developed and approved. For 3.4-year students of the specialty 5B011300 - Biology full-time, OP "6B01505-biology teacher training", "6B05101-biology" 1.2-year, for 5th-year students studying at the evening departments of the faculty, a work plan was drawn up.

The following tasks were defined for students of the specialty 5B011300-Biology, educational program 6B01505 - training of biology teachers, 6B05101-Biology::

1. familiarization with the state of the educational process at school.

2. acquaintance with advanced pedagogical practice, study.

3. active participation in the pedagogical process, participation in community service, active participation in extracurricular, extracurricular activities.

4. conducting additional educational work with students

5. consider the methods and techniques of forming elements of pedagogical skill.

 

Practice results

Passed the pedagogical practice of the specialty 5B011300 - Biology, the educational program 6B05101 - Biology, the educational program 6B01505 - training of a biology teacher, according to the standard curriculum, modular educational program, working curriculum and academic calendar.

The final conference of pedagogical practice was held for 4 courses in study groups 113-17a, 113-27, 113-37, K113-16 on March 26, 2021 through the ZOOM platform, and for 3 courses in study groups 113-18a, 113-28, 113-38a,113-48A, 113-88 on 22.02.2021 through the ZOOM platform. The conference was attended by the dean of the faculty, heads of practice, head of the department, methodologists and students of psychology. Prior to the final conference, students filled out a diary of pedagogical practice (signed and sealed by subject teachers, classroom teachers and the school principal), were submitted to the commission approved by the order of the head of the department, reports on the work done with a summary of the lesson plan and teaching aids, slides, analyses of educational and extracurricular activities, etc. The results of the practice are summarized according to the point system set by the decision of the commission. The assessments of classroom teachers on pedagogical practice, subject teachers, heads of methodologists of groups assigned to the department by specialty, teachers of the departments of pedagogy, psychology are taken into account. Practice documents are stored in a special folder of the department.

The report on the practice in the specialty was reviewed at the next meeting of the department in May 2021 (Protocol No. 10) and submitted for approval to the Council of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

In educational and industrial practice, students got acquainted with the scientific foundations of the organization of professional pedagogical activity, not only increasing their interest, but also forming a holistic view of the pedagogical process and its subjects. We got acquainted with the peculiarities of the structure of plants and animals of various systemic groups found in the region.

Educational practice is organized on the basis of the Department of Biology for all students. The 1st year students had an offline internship at the Department of Biology. In general, we got acquainted with the organizational and legal form, structure, management system, etc. of the organization that is the object of the future profession. They also mastered the skills of studying the types, functions and tasks of future professional activity, work in a labor collective. The fact that the training practice is conducted in accordance with the specifics, the profile of the OP, is considered at a meeting of the department and is reflected in the practice program.
