MAIN TASKS AND AREAS OF ACTIVITY OF THE RESEARCH OFFICE
The Research Office of Uzekbali Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University carries out systematic activities aimed at developing science, effectively utilizing scientific potential, and enhancing the quality and competitiveness of the University’s research outcomes.
Main tasks of the Research Office:
• Effective utilization of the scientific potential of academic staff and researchers to conduct research activities within the framework of priority research areas approved by the University Academic Council;
• Development of scientific cooperation with research organizations, national and international higher education institutions, and international partners in order to strengthen the integration of science and industry;
• Raising awareness and systematically organizing patent and inventive activities aimed at increasing the competitiveness and commercial attractiveness of research outcomes;
• Ensuring active student involvement in research activities to increase the number of winners of national and international research competitions and contests;
• Facilitating the integration of research outcomes of academic staff into the educational process;
• Organizing scientific and methodological seminars and training sessions to increase the proportion of academic staff and researchers with publications in internationally peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Main areas of activity of the Research Office:
• Organization of international and national scientific conferences, forums, and round tables, as well as publication of conference proceedings and research collections;
• Providing methodological and organizational support to academic staff in obtaining academic titles and scientific degrees;
• Coordination and support of the activities of scientific and research coordination councils of the University;
• Assignment and administration of incentive payments for scientific articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases;
• Development, implementation, and coordination of research projects within the framework of grant-based and program-targeted funding;
• Methodological support for academic staff and young researchers in participating in national and international competitions, grants, and research programs;
• Organization of activities aimed at developing the research potential of young researchers and students;
• Analysis and monitoring of the University’s research performance indicators and development of recommendations to enhance research activity.
The activities of the Research Office are aimed at strengthening the University’s scientific reputation, integrating it into the international scientific community, and ensuring the sustainable development of science and education.
