Functions of the IT Department

1. IT Infrastructure Management

  • Design, deployment, and maintenance of servers, workstations, data storage systems, and network equipment.
  • Ensuring the operation of local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks (Wi-Fi), as well as the organization of VPN and VLAN.

2. User Support

  • Providing technical support to faculty members, students, and administrative staff of the university.
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and software, as well as assistance in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Management of user accounts (creation, deletion, access rights configuration, etc.).

3. Information Security

  • Protection of university data and information systems from internal and external threats (viruses, data leakage, cyberattacks).
  • Monitoring and prevention of unauthorized network access; configuration and administration of firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption.
  • Training faculty, staff, and students in the basics of information security.

4. Support and Development of Educational and Research Platforms

  • Administration of the Anti-Plagiarism system

5. Automation of Administrative Processes

  • Technical support of the Access Control and Management System (ACMS/СКУД), issuance and registration of cards for employees (staff IDs) and students (student cards)
  • Technical support of the IP telephony system
  • Technical support of the video surveillance system

6. Technical Maintenance and Modernization of Equipment

  • Regular updates and maintenance of computer equipment (computers, interactive panels and boards, LED screens, etc.), servers, and network devices.
  • Maintenance and repair of office equipment (printers, multifunction devices, scanners, IP phones).
  • Maintenance and repair of the video surveillance system.
  • Replacement of obsolete hardware components and software to ensure stable operation.

7. Monitoring and Analysis of IT Systems

  • Continuous monitoring of the IT infrastructure, identification, and resolution of issues in real time.

8. Project Management

  • Management of projects related to the implementation of new technologies and systems in the university environment.
  • Coordination with external providers of IT services and technologies.

9. Training and Consulting for Staff and Students

  • Conducting training sessions, seminars, and consultations on the use of new technologies, systems, and software.
  • Development and distribution of training and instructional materials for the use of various IT resources.

10. Data Backup and Recovery

  • Organization and maintenance of a regular data backup system.
  • Development and implementation of data recovery plans in case of failures, data loss, and other critical situations.

11. Printing and Design Services

  • Printing of educational materials, textbooks, methodological manuals, and monographs.
  • Reproduction of administrative documents, contracts, bulletins, certificates, and other official university materials.
  • Processing and printing of informational booklets, posters, and flyers for events and promotional purposes.
  • Creation of visual concepts for various projects, including seminars, conferences, meetings, round tables, and ceremonial events (posters, booklets, promotional materials, presentations).
  • Design of printed and digital materials (books, journals, websites, social media content, etc.).
  • Development of logos and corporate identity for the university and its structural units.
  • Working with text and images to ensure a consistent and visually appealing design of materials.

12. Digital Services and Online Communications

  • Organization and technical support of online conferences and remote events.
  • Support of video communication and online learning services.
