Physical education and sports

The specialty "physical education" was opened at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute in the 1966-1967 academic year. For the first time, 25 students were admitted.

In the 1970-1971 academic year, the specialty "physical education" was established as a faculty of "Physical Education". The dean of the faculty was M. M. Fedosov.

In 1973-1982, the dean of the faculty" physical education " was senior teacher, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. B. Saparbayev.

In 1982-1987, the faculty was headed by an international judge, Senior Lecturer Vinichenko A. A., in 1987-1990-candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Ayashev O. A. The Faculty of "physical education" has been part of the newly opened Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of physical education since January 1, 1991. Over the years, the faculty has achieved a lot of success. In terms of sports and research work, the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute took the third place in the training of sports specialists in the Republic and in the results of various sports competitions. In particular, students of the faculty took the leading places in the Republic in such sports as Greco-Roman wrestling, gymnastics, cycling, athletics.

In particular, Greco-Roman wrestling coach senior teacher, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, master of sports M. B. Saparbayev regularly took the first team place at the student Universiade and trained more than 40 Masters of sports of the USSR. The first master of Sports A. Izbaskanov became the champion at the All-Union Student Competition in Gomel, Belarus, the second place was taken by V. Khromov, the third place was taken by V. Petasyuk. At the same time, the faculty trained such students as S. Kuanyshov, Z. Telleutaev, A. Izrailov, V. Koshelev, S. Torgautov, D. Tlemisov and B. Deciyev, who won the World Cup for the 4th time, champion of Europe, USSR, honorary citizen of Shymkent. Later, in the course of his career as a coach, S. Kuanyshov, B. Khromov, B. Potlov, V. Koshelev, M. G. Huseynov, A. Ershov were awarded the honorary title of Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In cycling, students did not give the first place in the country to any team. Masters of cycling sports N. Reutov, B. Shmelev, A. Troshkin, A. Khustov, I. Yakovenko were in the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan and took first place in the All-Union Student Competition.

The national team of the Institute in sports gymnastics took the second place in the student competition of masters of sports of the USSR L. Nesmeyanova, S. Asylbekov, V. Egoshina, T. Gorbushina, V. Shcherbakov. In athletics, the national team of the institute has achieved significant success in competitions among students. There were many talented track and field athletes in the team. They are A. Panchenko in the 100-meter race, R. Karimov, T. Chernova, S. Starovoitova in the long jump M. Gannota, master of sports in the three-step jump N. Bryukhanchikov, S. Famin in the 800-meter race, E. Gorina, R. Almetov in the 5000-10000-meter race. These are athletes who have been awarded the title of champion of the Republic at different times.

At the faculty there were students who achieved success in other sports, O. Ayashev, E. Irispanov, I. Tuleyev, Y. Tayrov, T. Yermekbayev, A. Askarov, S. Konakbayev, V. Chubarov in gymnastics.

Graduates of the Faculty of sports were awarded the title of Honored Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their work in the education of young people. They are: A. Askarov (in boxing), M. Gannota (in athletics). V. Shaibakov (in gymnastics), S. Kulbayev (in boxing), E. Anastas (in hand ball). He also held senior positions in specialized sports schools in the city and region. For example, director of the regional gymnastics school, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan V. Shaibakov, director of the Athletics school V. Kravchenko, director of the Sports School named after B. Sattarkhanov, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Kulbayev, director of the special sports school (boxing, National Games), honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor T. Poshimov.

The works of O. A. Ayashev, a graduate of the Faculty of physical education, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor can be proud of.

It should be noted that academician of the International Academy of pedagogy, doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, M. B. Saparbayev made a great contribution to the development and development of the Faculty of physical education (died prematurely in 1996).

On August 23, 2001, the Department "sport" was opened on the basis of the Shymkent Department of H. A. Yasawi IKTU. The head of the department was appointed candidate of Pedagogical Sciences,Associate Professor M. T. Temirkhanov. The Department of" sport " trained specialists in two specialties::

031140 - "Physical Culture and sports";

031240 - "Initial Military Training and physical training".

In 2004, 54 graduates graduated in these specialties.

By the decision of the Senate of the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after K. A. Yasawi, the Faculty of "sport" was opened at the Shymkent Institute since November 2, 2004, the dean of the faculty was appointed candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor M. T. Temirkhanov. 3 departments worked at the faculty:

1. Department of "sports disciplines". Head of the Department - candidate of Pedagogical Sciences,senior lecturer Shegenbayev N. B.

2.Department of" anatomy, physiology and primary military training". Head of the Department - candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor A. B. Naizabekov.

3. Department of "Physical Education". Head of the Department - senior teacher M. K. Mambetov.  

In July 2008, by the decision of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an academic innovation university was established on the basis of the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after H. A. Yasawi. The Faculty of sports was expanded into the Faculty of "Sports and psychology". The faculty was headed by M. T. Temirkhanov, honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honorary sports worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the VII karatedodon, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor. The faculty has 4 departments: :

1. Department of "Pedagogy". The head of the department was Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences,Professor I. S. Smanov. The Department of" pedagogy"prepared specialties 5B010200-" pedagogy and methods of Primary Education", 5B010100-" preschool education and upbringing".

2. Department of Psychology. Head of the Department-candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, senior lecturer K. E. Koishiev. The Department of "psychology"prepared the specialty 5B012300-" social pedagogy and self-knowledge".

3. Department of "sports disciplines". Head of the Department - candidate of Pedagogical Sciences,Shegenbayev N. B. The department trained bachelors in the specialty 5B010800-"Physical Culture and sports".

4. Department of "Physical Education". The head of the department was the honored trainer of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor N. O. Ordabayev. The Department of" physical education " provided service.

In July 2011, by the decision of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the South Kazakhstan State Pedagogical Institute was established.

The Faculty of sports and psychology was renamed the Faculty of Sports and arts. The faculty was headed by candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor M. T. Temirkhanov. The faculty had 2 departments.

1.Department of" Physical Culture and sports". Head of the Department-candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N. B. Shegenbayev. The Department of" Physical Culture and sports"trained Bachelors of education in the specialty 5B010800-" Physical Culture and sports".

2.Department of" music education and Fine Arts". Head of the Department - candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, senior lecturer L. Sh.  The Department of" music education and Fine Arts"prepared Bachelors of education in the specialties 5B010700-" music education", 5B010600-" Fine Arts and drawing".

In 2013, the Faculty of Physical Education and military training was opened. The dean of the faculty was candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor K. Nakhanov. At the Faculty of" physical education and primary military training " he trained bachelors in the following specialties. They are:

1.Bachelor of education in the specialty 5B010800-"Physical Culture and sports".

2. Bachelor of education in the specialty 5B010400 - "primary military training".

Under the guidance of the head of the Department" physical education and primary military training " - candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor U. Turyskulov, a bachelor of education is trained. Department of "Physical Culture". Head of the Department - candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, senior lecturer Associate Professor E. Bitabarov.

In September 2018, the Faculty of" Physical Culture and sports " was opened, and candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor U. zh.Turyskulov was appointed dean of the faculty. There are two departments within the faculty.

In September 2025, dean of the faculty" Physical Culture and sports " candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Demeuov Akhan Kalybayevich was appointed

1. Department "methodology and Theory Of Physical Culture". The head of the department is candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor a.m. Ispandiyarova.

2.Department of" primary military training and physical training". The head of the department is Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) N. B. Shegenbayev.
